Flipside Gaming Clifton Park Grand Opening Festivities!

Hello Flipside Players and Guests! Friday September 30, 2022, Flipside Gaming Clifton Park will be having its Grand Opening at our new location! We will be having special events, sales, and debuts of the new products our store is going to be carrying! 

We Begin the festivities on Friday, September 30th with a Commander Legends: Baldur’s Gate Commander Draft at 6pm! We will be running that alongside our usual Commander League that night! Commander Draft is in pods of 4 consisting of a single round. Draft your packs, assemble a Commander deck, and play in your pod. Come out for a fun Commander draft or just jam some casual Commander in our weekly Commander league (tournament details below)!

Saturday October 1, 2022, we will be having our Free Modern at 1pm. We will also have how-to-play events as well!

• Magic: How to play at 2pm. Each participant will get a free intro deck.
• Pokemon: How to play at 3pm. each participant will get a free Battle Academy Deck.
• Digimon: How to play upon request, just ask at the counter!

We finish our Grand Opening weekend on Sunday, October 2 at 1 PM, where we will be hosting a Sealed Modern Horizons 2 Event! Players will receive a Modern Horizons 2 Prerelease Kit, containing 6 packs. Players will then construct a deck consisting of the cards they opened from their kit. Event will be capped at 32 players. Prize support is based on attendance (tournament details below).

Prizing is based on your finishing place at the table.

Prize Payout per Pod of 4 is:

1st: 4 packs + an additional Pack

2nd: 2 Packs + an additional Pack

3rd: 1 Pack + an additional Pack

4th: 1 Pack + an additional Pack

One Piece Card Game Event - 2pm Saturday

Saturday October 1st at 2pm is our One Piece Super Prerelease Event! Come out Saturday and be one of the first in the US to try out this awesome new game! The One Piece Card Game officially releases in December. Come out and get a sneak-peek at this exciting new game!

Event entry is 20.00.

Event capped at 8 players.

Each player will receive one of 4 decks to play in the event and a paper playmat with the game rules.

Players will then play 3 rounds to determine a winner of the event.

1st Place receives a Silver Foil Tournament Promo Luffy Card!
Participants each receive one regular Luffy Card for playing in the event (While Supplies Last).

Modern Horizons 2 Sealed Event - 1pm Sunday

Entry: $45

Start Time: Sunday, October 2nd at 1 PM

Players will receive a Prerelease Kit containing 6 Modern Horizons 2 Draft Boosters. Players will have 30 Minutes to Construct a deck consisting of cards they opened from their packs. 

4 rounds - Swiss 

Prize payout is based on participants and win record. 

4 wins - 8 Packs 

3 wins 1 draw - 6 packs 

3 wins - 4 packs 

2 wins - 1 Pack 

All players will receive an additional pack for staying all 4 rounds of the event.
