Hello and welcome to another episode of Searching Standard, where each and every week I look for new, innovative decks for you to play in Standard. This week, I'm looking at a deck that was recently featured on the YouTube channel of LittleDarkFury. It features Leafeon ex PRE 6, who can deal a lot of damage while simultaneously healing your team. Let's get started by taking a look at the deck list.

Leafeon ex PRE 6 is the main attacker for this deck, and it has a pair of really great attacks you can use. Its Moss Agate attack will usually be the attack you'll want to use, as it will deal 230 damage to your opponent's Active Pokemon while simultaneously healing 100 damage from each of your Benched Pokemon. If you see that your opponent has a lot of Energy attached to their Pokemon, you can score some quick Knock Outs by using its Verdant Storm attack instead. Both of Leafeon ex PRE 6's attacks can be very useful, making it a very versatile Pokemon.
A single copy of Flareon ex PRE 14 is included in this deck, primarily for use of its Burning Charge attack. This attack does 130 damage to your opponent's Active Pokemon, but, more importantly, it will allow you to search your deck for up to 2 Basic Energy cards to attach to one of your Pokemon. This can help you power up Leafeon ex PRE 6 when you aren't able to draw into any Energy cards.
Since Leafeon ex PRE 6's Moss Agate attack only heals damage from your Benched Pokemon, you'll want to get a copy of Slowbro SVI 43 into play right away. Its Strange Behavior Ability allows you to move damage counters, one at a time, from one of your other Pokemon to Slowbro SVI 43. By keeping Slowbro SVI 43 on your Bench, you can siphon any damage from Leafeon ex PRE 6 to Slowbro SVI 43, healing it as Leafeon ex PRE 6 attacks. If you attach Hero's Cape TEF 152 to Slowbro SVI 43, you can siphon off more than 90 damage, getting the full benefit from Leafeon ex PRE 6's Moss Agate attack.
In order to keep a handful of cards, this deck utilizes the Bibarel BRS 121 draw engine. By using Bibarel BRS 121's Industrious Incisors Ability, you can refill your hand to 5 cards each turn. The final Pokemon in the deck is a single copy of Budew PRE 4, which will prevent your opponent from playing any Item cards from their hand on their following turn. Since this attack requires no Energy to use, you'll be able to hinder your opponent while powering up the rest of your team.
Obviously, Leafeon ex PRE 6's Moss Agate attack requires three different Energy types to use. That's why there's so many ways this deck has to help you get the Energy you need. You've already seen Flareon ex PRE 14's Burning Charge attack, but there's some great Trainer cards to help with this as well. Earthen Vessel PAR 163 helps you find 2 Basic Energy cards to put into your hand, while Technical Machine: Turbo Energize PAR 179's Turbo Energize attack lets you search your deck for up to 2 Basic Energy cards to attach to your Benched Pokemon however you would like. Crispin PRE 105 lets you find 2 Basic Energy cards of different types, and you'll be able to attach both of those Energy cards to the same Pokemon if you'd like.
Almost all decks need help to find the Pokemon they need from within their deck. This deck uses Buddy-Buddy Poffin PRE 101 to find the Basic Pokemon needed and Ultra Ball SVI 196 to find the others. There's also 1 copy of Tera Orb SSP 189 that can only search for a Tera Pokemon, which can be a great way of finding Leafeon ex PRE 6 if you need it.
Both Arven OBF 186 and Irida ASR 147 help you search your deck for specific things. Arven OBF 186 helps you find an Item and a Pokemon Tool, while Irida ASR 147 helps you find an Item and a Water Type Pokemon. Iono PAL 185 doesn't allow you to search for anything, but she can refresh your hand if you're holding things that aren't particularly useful at the time. She also resets your opponent's hand, which can be quite beneficial.
Playing Boss’s Orders PAL 172 can be a great way of moving a Pokemon you're able to Knock Out easily to your opponent's Active Spot. If it's one that allows you to take multiple Prize cards when it is Knocked Out, so much the better for you. Switch SVI 194 offers you some mobility for your team without having to discard Energy cards to pay Retreat Costs. Attaching Rigid Band MEW 165 to Leafeon ex PRE 6 allows it to take 30 less damage from your opponent's attacks, keeping it in the game longer.
The final batch of cards all deal with the discard pile. Super Rod PAL 188 lets you shuffle back up to 3 Pokemon and/or Basic Energy cards from your discard pile into your deck. You can then draw them to use again later on. Night Stretcher SFA 61 also lets you get either a Pokemon or Basic Energy from your discard pile, but instead of shuffling it into your deck, you get to put it directly into your hand. Finally, Glass Trumpet SCR 135 lets you attach up to 2 Basic Energy cards to your Benched Colorless Type Pokemon (only 1 Energy can be attached to each), but can only be played if you have a Tera Pokemon in play. It might have a lot of restrictions, but if you can meet those requirements, it can be quite powerful.
Wrapping Up
Leafeon ex PRE 6 is a terrific Tera Pokemon. Both of its attacks can be quite powerful, and the healing it can provide to the rest of your team can give you quite an advantage over your opponent.
