Hello and welcome to another episode of Searching Standard, where each and every week I look for new, innovative decks for you to play in Standard. This week, I'm looking at a deck that was recently featured on the YouTube channel of LittleDarkFury. It features Alolan Exeggutor ex SSP 133 as your main attacker, surrounded by a bunch of friends that provide additional benefits. Let's get started by taking a look at the deck list.

Alolan Exeggutor ex SSP 133 is the main attacker for this deck. While you'll often use its Tropical Frenzy attack, which allows you to attach any number of Basic Energy cards to your Pokemon in addition to the 150 damage it deals, there are times that the instant Knock Out power of its Swinging Sphene attack can be worthwhile.
Milotic ex SSP 42 is a terrific Pokemon to use if your opponent is playing any Tera Pokemon. Its Sparkling Scales Ability keeps Milotic ex SSP 42 safe from any attack your opponent might make with their Tera Pokemon. Milotic ex SSP 42 also has the Hypno Splash attack, which deals 160 damage and causes your opponent's Active pokemon to become Asleep. Cornerstone Mask Ogerpon ex PRE 58 offers you protection from decks utilizing a lot of Pokemon with Abilities. Its Cornerstone Stance Ability makes Cornerstone Mask Ogerpon ex PRE 58 unable to be damaged by attacks from your opponent's Pokemon with Abilities.
Dragapult ex PRE 73 is another possible back up attacker. Its Phantom Dive attack deals damage to the opponent's Active Pokemon as well as putting 6 damage counters on their Benched Pokemon. You might not want to evolve into Dragapult ex PRE 73, though, as Drakloak PRE 72's Recon Directive Ability can be a great source of additional cards for you throughout the game.
A single copy of Munkidori PRE 44 is included in this deck as a way of redirecting some of the damage your Pokemon have taken back towards your opponent's team. If you have a Darkness Energy attached to Munkidori PRE 44, you can use its Adrena-Brain Ability to move 3 damage counters each turn from one of your Pokemon to one of your opponent's Pokemon.
Both Buddy-Buddy Poffin PRE 101 and Nest Ball PAF 84 will be very useful to help you find the Basic Pokemon you need for this deck to run smoothly.
While Ultra Ball PAF 91 can certainly be used to find Basic Pokemon, a better use for it is to help seek out the evolutions you need. Jacq SVI 175 can also help you find up to 2 Evolution Pokemon to put into your hand.
Now that you've seen ways of searching your deck for Pokemon, let's move on to the ways to search out Energy. Earthen Vessel PRE 106 is used in many decks to help you find any 2 Basic Energy cards from your deck. Crispin PRE 105 has to find 2 different types of Basic Energy cards, but you can end up attaching both of them to the same Pokemon if you'd like. Sparkling Crystal PRE 129 can also be attached to one of your Tera Pokemon to reduce the Energy requirement of that Pokemon's attacks by one Energy.
For raw card drawing power, there's no Supporter better in Standard than Professor's Research JTG 155. Iono PAF 80 can come close, depending on the number of Prize cards you have remaining, but her main purpose is to reset your opponent's hand, slowing down their momentum in the process.
As you've seen, there are a lot of useful Items in this deck. You can use Arven OBF 186 as a means of finding the specific Item you need. He also lets you search for a Pokemon Tool. If Sparkling Crystal PRE 129 isn't what you're looking for, you could find either Rigid Band MEW 165 or Technical Machine: Evolution PAR 178, which can both help out in their own way.
The final Trainers in this deck are Trainers that are found in most Standard decks. Boss’s Orders PAL 172 helps you single out any of your opponent's Benched Pokemon to attack. Super Rod PAL 188 offers you a way of reusing some of the cards that have gone to your discard pile.
Wrapping Up
Alolan Exeggutor ex SSP 133 has a pair of attacks that help you power up your team, or Knock Out opposing threats with ease. By using a combination of these attacks, as well as the attacks of the other Pokemon found in this deck, you should be able to win matches fairly easily.
What do you think of this deck? Do you have any suggestions for improvements? Let me know by leaving a comment below. And be sure to join me here again next week as I continue my search for innovative decks in the Pokemon TCG. I'll see you then!
