Excitement is mounting for this year's New York Toy Fair, a four-day event that officially kicks off tomorrow, February 17, 2018. Known as the largest show of its kind in the Western hemisphere, the Fair gathers manufacturers, retailers, and fans from around the world to celebrate toys and tech of all kinds.

The Fair first began back in 1903 with no more than ten companies in attendance. Just seven years later, in 1910, the event had grown so rapidly that it had to be relocated to a new site, now known as the International Toy Center. Since then, it's exploded into its current robust state, boasting many thousand attendees from numerous countries.

The New York Toy Fair is perhaps the premiere venue for toy manufacturers, both big and small, to debut their new products for the coming year. Some of the biggest names in attendance at this year's Fair include Hasbro, Lego, and Scholastic.

Some of the most anticipated releases for this year include Hasbro action figures for Solo: A Star Wars Story, a 3D printer for kids called 3Doodler, and a life-sized bust of The Joker designed by Academy-Award winning makeup artist Rick Baker.
